Our newest Supported Internship based within a very successful Law firm in Aldgate immersed interns into the world of law and everything that goes on behind the scenes to make a large business successful.
At Clyde & Co we have the amazing opportunity to work in three different departments who have all completed Embracing Autism Training so they can give our interns the best possible experience. These mentors provide one to one on the job training from the start which is important as the intern gets the time to grow and develop and become independent by the end of the 12 week rotation which has been proven to be successful.
Records – This Rotation is an Admin role. As a Records Operator you will have the responsibility to ensure all files and data is being maintained for clients within Clyde & Co. Archiving records to go into deep storage would be your main responsibility. This role will help you develop your organisation skills as this London office organises most of the files for other Clyde & Co offices around the UK. Also, it is a great opportunity to you develop your IT skills as you will be using Microsoft Excel to store data and liaising with clients via email to fulfil requests. As you may have to liaise with either clients or off site storage providers you will also develop great customer service skills.
Post Room – This rotation is great if you like to be on your feet. As a Post Person you will be responsible for collecting all incoming mail for Clyde & Co where you will then have to deliver it to the final recipient which is great if you would like to boost your customer service skills as you will have to liaise with multiple departments to find out the last destination. You will also be responsible for restocking the stationary cupboards and making orders for when the stationary has run out. This rotation is a great opportunity if your wanting to work towards your independence.
Print Room – This rotation is a mixture between admin related tasks and being on your feet operating the machines. Working in the print room you are responsible for printing and scanning documents for departments. At Clyde & Co as this is a law firm a lot of physical documents/ files need to be digitalised for storage. Once they have been digitalised you will then have to organise them onto specific shared folders. This rotation is great if you would like to develop your efficiency and problem solving skills.
